Grip Strut Safety Grating (sometimes referred to as grip-span grating) is a one-piece, plank-type grating panel. A single plate of steel forms both the non-slip open diamond matrix, serrated surface, and the load-supporting continuous channel at either side. There are a variety of widths and channel heights along with numerous non-standard shapes to meet almost any application requirement of strength, size and durability. This safety grating combines safety and durability with ease of fabrication and installation.

Grip Strut can be used as stair treads, and typically range in width, or step depth between 4.75″ to 11.75 inches. And, offered in various channel heights, alloys, and finishes. Grip strut steps can be cut to the desired length and end plates (also referred to as carrier plates) are welded to each side of the step so they can be easily attached to stair stringers and channel.

Walkway Grip Strut
Walkway grip strut is an excellent alternative to traditional bar grating and can save on installation time and cost. Grip strut walkway widths are offered in 24″, 30″ and 36 inches. These panels are heavy duty 9, 10, or 11 gauge and provided in 10′ or 12 foot lengths but custom lengths can be supplied all the way up to 24 feet. Splice plate kits, hold-down clips, handrail brackets can also be provided.

Grip Strut Safety Grating is designed to provide sure footing and diminish the hazard of injury due to falls where slippery materials are part of the work environment. Powders, oil and grease, food stuffs, liquids, mud, ice and snow are pushed through by normal foot pressure. Substances which threaten safe footing do not build up on the serrated surface matrix.

Grip Strut Safety Grating is a must wherever people are working with slippery materials under foot.
